Can the Affini fly?

Affini are as established by the story shapeshifting plant-aliens, who are able to imitate the form of other living beings, just a little bit bigger usually. Would it therefore be possible for an Affini to imitate a bird and fly?

Do The Affini Wear Clothes?

So do the Affini wear clothes, or do they see them as uneccesary? Would they legalize public nudity for nudist florets?

[RP] Why won't you let me die????

I keep trying to kill myself, only to be stopped every time. Why? What is the purpose of these actions?

I don't want to exist anymore.

Would the Affini try to domesticate the iterators from rain world?

They are, to put it bluntly, sentient supercomputers, roughly the size of small continents, standing thousands of feet above ground level. They are technically alive, since parts of them are made of living creatures (effectively making them a self-contained ecosystem). The iterator itself can interact with things using its puppet body (shown in image 1), though this puppet is confined to a small room close to the center of the superstructure.

There's a good chance that they'd simply fry the neural network of whatever enters their chamber (effectively killing whatever the target was instantly), or simply force out whatever intrudes on their chamber since they can control the gravity of their structure. regardless, I thought it would be a neat thought experiment.

What do y'all think?

Just a flirty lil challenge

Can any of you domesticate a terran without implants or xenodrugs just using pure social skills alone? Or is it too high a bar for the mighty affini?

Do you think it'd be funni if an affini tried to drug a human with Adderall only to discover that they also come in ADHD flavour

Thinking about the technological capabilities and feats of each civilization as displayed on their canon, even with vague interpretations and inferences, I think the Affini actually have a chance of domesticating the Qu in a crossover scenario, yea.

As someone whose really into science and technology I think the biggest proof of the failures of the terran accord is their level of technology.

As someone who is into technological development the accord should have been way more developed than it is in the story. I do not know if they could have defeated the affini but realistically they should have been able to hold out a lot longer than just 5 years.

with our current technological development we should no longer have any form of human soldier let alone human labourer and human life spans should be practically unlimited thanks to gene therapy and human augmentation.

for goodness sake we are studying anti matter at this very moment.

The only way this could have happened is if the terran accord was purposely suppressing technological development on behalf of special interests groups at detriment of both the general publics and their own personal development.

And the worst part of the whole situation is, I can absolutely see the real world governments pulling this exact bs.

thanks to various declassified documents it's pretty much been revealed that we should be roughly 20 to 50 years more advanced than we are now because certain special interests groups have been actively killing technological developments for the better part of a damn century.

Can affinity reverse entropy?

Since I can't win, I can at least deny them a victory. I'm planning to dissolve my body in acid, and let that mixture dilute in an ocean so that entropy will make it Impossible to reconstruct

They can't reverse that right?

What would happen if an Affini wanted to not be an Affini, could they get digitized with a Terran chassis and lose their rights?
