Looking for films with one single horrific/ gory/ shocking scene that catches you offguard

As the question suggests, I'm after films that aren't horror-oriented on the face of it, or don't otherwise contain gratuitous violence, but have a single moment or scene that makes you stop & think, 'damn'.

I read a Ken Follett (?) book recently which, whilst it doesn't shy away from the brutality of medieval life, has one particular scene of a criminal's execution that stood apart for the extremely graphic imagery.

I found it incredibly effective and wondered if there are any films that have a similar scene?

AITJ for wanting to distance myself from a friend with an addiction problem?

I have a friend. We are both M40 and met at work (a place we've both since left). We quickly discovered a mutual interest in Moto GP and, as we have kids a similar age, we started hanging out at each other's houses on a Sunday to watch racing whilst the kids played.

We both enjoyed a couple of beers. Steadily, though, my friend's consumption increased over a year or so to the point that he would be drunk when we arrived at his house about 9am, and he would spend the whole day in his undies and a vest, plonked on the couch amd doing nothing but drink. It's also come to light that his cannabis use is now a full dependency and he smokes when he wakes up, on breaks at work, and all evening on a weekday.

I really don't want my son playing in that sort of environment, especially when my friend is 6'4", 130kg and stumbles around looking for his lighter whilst he crashes in to furniture.

The saddest part for me is that he is a genuinely nice guy and, when he is sober, would give you the shirt off his back. I've tried talking to him and made it plain that if he ever needs to open up, or get help, I'm only ever a phone call away, but I always get brushed off with a laugh and, 'I just enjoy being drunk and high,'

I don't want to approach his Wife yet as I'm not sure that there isn't something going on behind the scenes I'm not aware of, but on the surface she seems oblivious to, or comfortable with, his behaviour. There is nothing obvious that points to where this problem started (no bereavements, healthy kids, reasonable job, marriage seems OK etc).

I really want to distance myself from him after my efforts at opening up were gently rebuked, and to be honest he cuts quite a pathetic figure that I certianly don't want my 3yr seeing. Am I the jerk to be planning slowly, slowly drifting apart?

TL;DR- I want to distance myself from a friend unwilling to address their addiction.

As a woman would you the following unusual, frustrating, positive or... other?

I am M40. I'm fit and healthy and enjoy a relatively active sex life. I would consider myself good at sex (but not mindblowing) and have what I believe to be slightly larger than average p*nis, but it's by no meaks a pringles can.

My main issue is that I've always been a quick finisher, much quicker than I believe is the average, and nothing I try seems to make a difference (I've tried different techniques, breathing exercises, changes to diet etc).

On the plus side, my recovery time is almost zero, certainly no more than two minutes at the worst, and often I'm ready to go again without losing my erection (and yes this leads to full, normal ejaculation). Generally between six-ten times is my normal performance however in the right circumstances I can go more, I think my record is about 25 spread over an entire sleepless night.

Each climax for me is as pleasurable and the amount of semen produced seems to drop off only slightly.

So, ladies, would you find this style of performance offbeat, unsual, disappointing, positive... how would you view what's essentially repeated quickies rather than a longer single session? Cheers.
