Can't listen to hypnosis without falling asleep

I'm having this problem right now. I have been listening to hypnosis audio files semi-regularly for over a year, though I've been less interested for the last few months because I turned to online hypnosis with a partner. Now, I've gone back to listening to audio and cannot stay awake. This has never been a problem before. I took a break for a few weeks and now, suddenly, I can't listen to an induction without just... falling asleep.

This has never been an issue for me and now by about 10 minutes into a file, sometimes sooner, no matter what file, I relax and am immediately knocked out cold. I have done this with large and uncomfortable sex toys inside of me and still conked out no matter how hard I try not to or how loud I play the file. Time of day doesn't matter. I tried listening 2 hours after waking up and with an energy drink in my system thinking it would be different. Nope. Sent straight into a nap before I ever feel like I've reached trance.

Usually falling asleep to a very long or looped file is a hot experience for me, when I do it on purpose, but not this early. Has this happened to anyone else?

Some people find that they can only fall into trance when they can hear their hypnotist's voice.

When they can lie back, close their eyes, and forget about all other distractions.

This audio hypnotises the listener to feel as though their is a shock collar around their neck which can be activated by the snapping of my fingers.

A few shocks are administered whilst the listener is still in trance, to get them used to the sensation. The listener is then brought out of trance with the hypnotic-collar still on, thus the finger snaps still trigger the shocks. From here the finger snaps are used to encourage the listener to maintain their posture, before moving onto repeating a mantra (Obedience is good for me). After each repetition of the mantra, the listener is shocked and given feedback on how the mantra should be.

After I am satisfied with how listener is saying their mantra, the collar is removed, with me snapping my fingers one last time to prove that it is gone, and they are free to carry on as normal.

I’ve been playing around with designing some fun little stickers that double as hypnosis triggers-think tiny, subtle patterns or even QR codes that could trigger a quick state shift when scanned. They’re not just for fun, but I wanted to make something that could blend into everyday life a little easier.
