[homemade] Hungarian Goulasch mit Kartoffel Klöße
Aka goulash with potato dumplings. I was an aupair for a German family and they made this once a month regardless of weather. They served it with a with creamy white cabbage dish but I have yet been able to recreate that part. My host mom is protective and I changed families halfway through so getting the recipe from her is not possible 😅
The texture of the dumpling is the best part because of how starchy they get. I used the Knorr paprika goulasch packet that you can get at any German grocery store OR at world market or some international food aisles at your local grocery store. I recommend grabbing a bottle of Maggi in the same Aisle. You can make the Klöße from scratch or they sell premade boxes that aren’t too bad. Anyways I thought I’d share a nostalgic meal. I can link you to some recipes. But there are many on Pinterest or chefkoch.de
