Just saw a rant post pointing out the things SBs do- taking advance, asking money for platonic meets etc.

I do understand that reddit is generally full of scammers and one should be very skeptical before getting into anything. Soooo

What steps can SBs take to actually know if the other person is genuine and can actually support the SB and is not just an attention seeker asshole wasting time?

How can SBs, especially those who engage in IRL know/make sure that they wont be getting ghosted/ stood up if they do show up to dates etc.?

I know nothing is foolproof but still looking for some suggestions or a checklist sort of a thing
