My boyfriend was out of town when my manager asked me to meet an important client. It was supposed to be just business — a few drinks, some negotiation, closing a deal.

But somewhere between the late-night conversations and the way he looked at me, things shifted.

I told myself I was just doing my job… keeping him interested, keeping the deal alive. But I stayed longer than I needed to. I leaned in a little closer than I should have.

One night turned into more than just meetings.

And yes — I secured the deal.
