I'm writing my own romance novel, more specifically a noir romance (I'm not trying to self promote I'm looking for books I can read so I can write mine better) and the elevator pitch is: what happens when trauma victims navigate romance when the only language they know is survival? with an added twist that it's a love pentagon of five characters in what is essentially a mafia family.
