🏛️ The spot

This was taken at The Octagon in the Glen of the Downs—an old 18th-century structure that used to be part of the Bellevue Estate.

Back in the day, it was used for banquets and gatherings, overlooking the landscape… even has some strange stories tied to it 😄

And now, it’s just sitting there in the middle of nature, slowly becoming part of it again.

🌧️ The moment

I was out hiking and ended up taking a short break here while it was raining.

Nothing special planned—just needed a moment to rest.

And honestly, moments like this feel pretty normal to me.

🌿 Why it stood out

There’s something about places like this.

Old structures hidden in forests or mountains… you don’t expect them, but when you find them, they add something extra to the whole experience.

It makes you slow down a bit more, look around, and just take it in.

The rain helped with that too—fewer people around, quieter, more space to just be there.

🐕 As always…

The dog was doing his own thing as usual 😄

Completely focused on whatever was interesting to him at that moment.

🌱 What I took from it

Sometimes it’s the unexpected places that make a hike memorable.

Not the big views—but the small, hidden spots you come across along the way.

Those are the ones worth exploring.

💬 Have you ever come across a random place like this that made you stop for a bit?

This was just a normal walk for me.

In the forest behind my house, doing my daily routine, completely alone. Nothing special, nothing planned—just fresh air, trees, and a bit of sunlight breaking through.

And yet… moments like this always remind me of something simple.

🌱 The small things we overthink

At that time, I caught myself thinking about something random.

My leg hair.

How it looked, if it looked “right”… the kind of thing you don’t even notice until your mind decides to make it a topic.

It’s funny how the smallest things can suddenly feel important.

🌿 And then… it just disappeared

The sun, the cold air, the wind—it all came together and just cleared my mind.

No big moment. No deep thinking.

Just gone.

👉 And suddenly it felt obvious again… this is normal.

🌞 The realisation

It wasn’t something that built up over time.

It was instant.

One moment you’re overthinking something pointless…
the next moment you realise it never mattered in the first place.

And that feeling?

Always the same.

Relaxed. Clear. Simple.

🌄 The truth

I’ve never really felt like I needed to change my body.

Not to fit something. Not to look a certain way.

Because in the end, your body already tells everything about who you are.

And that’s enough.

🌿 What I’ve learned

• We overthink the smallest details
• Nature has a way of resetting your mind
• Most “problems” disappear when you stop focusing on them
• What feels natural usually is

At some point, you realise:

👉 You don’t need to change your body… your mind just needs to quiet down.

Went up the mountain and hit that point where you just know: yeah… this is the spot 😅

So I sat down for a bit to take it all in.

Sunset was kinda planned, but still… it hits different when you're actually there.

Light breeze, birds in the distance, even a bit of campfire smell drifting through.

One of those moments where everything just feels right.

🧠 Headspace

Didn’t really think much.

Just appreciating how good nature can be when it’s left alone.

I’m always aware of what’s around me—what I hear, what I see—but at the same time it felt completely relaxed.

🧍‍♂️ Just me (as usual)

Went alone as always. Just works better for me.

And honestly, if someone showed up… no big deal 😄
I’d just throw on my shorts if needed.

⏳ No real plan

Didn’t plan how long to stay either.

That usually depends on my dogs deciding when it’s time to move again 🐕

This week has been a bit of a whirlwind… because yes — I got married 💍

A lot of focus, planning, emotions, and honestly… a fair bit of stress too.

But this photo actually takes me back to a moment a few weeks before all of that.

Standing on a quiet beach, just looking out over the sea 🌊

No rush, no expectations… just the sound of waves and the wind 🌬️

And funny enough… even there, my mind was still busy.

Thinking. Planning. Overthinking.

All the “what ifs” starting to creep in again 🤯

But the longer I stood there… something changed.

The sound of the water, the breeze, just being present in that moment 🌿

It slowly pulled me out of my head.

And I realized something really simple:

Everything is going to be okay.

All that stress? All that overthinking?

Completely unnecessary.

Because deep down… I already knew things would turn out great.

And guess what — they did ❤️

It made me realize how often we create pressure in our own minds, even when there’s no real reason for it.

We overthink. We doubt. We stress.

Even when life is actually moving in the right direction.

Sometimes… all it takes is a moment to pause, breathe, and just be there 🌊

Because clarity doesn’t come from thinking more — it comes from slowing down.
