"Finally done with Hell Week... no more papers or exams for two weeks" my niece (Zendaya) says as she walks into my apartment... well our apartment now that she's attending college nearby... and kicks off her shoes

"Hope you aced everything" I say, my blue eyes looking up from my laptop to watch you walk over the couch and asking "Anything your Uncle David can do to help you relax? Or have you already got plans with your friends for the weekend?" as I try and finish my last email of the week.

I woke up slowly, savoring the feeling of a nice comfy bed on a morning without any plans, only to sit up properly when I see you on the lounge by the window. "Good morning" my niece McKenna Grace greets me

"Good morning" I reply back, blinking away the sleep as I sit up in bed, wearing just a pair of shorts, and asking "No classes today? Or just missed your Uncle David so much you skipped?"

I'm still getting used to working nights, and come back to our apartment after my shift to find my cousin-turned-roommate Emily (Emiru), smiling at me as I step inside and greet you "Hey, didn't expect you to be awake still"

I sit down beside you on the sofa, noticing your drink of choice tonight and joking "Or are you just planning not to sleep tonight at all?" as I kick off my shoes, in no hurry to get to bed myself especially as with having you around and awake for a change
