How is this done and how much do u injest/eat

Im new to all of this and was taught how to blow clouds from my friend. He didn't do a good job of teaching me so I burn my shit every time. Does it lose its potency when u burn it... does it make it last shorter? I know the taste is obviously affected. I see people using vapes to blow clouds. How is that done.

Can anyone help?
