Visited a sex worker for the first time. Do I treat the time more like a one night stand?

I visited a sex worker for the first time a few days ago. I made the encounter strange and awkward because I didn't really know how to behave. She was professional and nice but my brain was a little confused :D
In my country it's legal and I booked with a reputable company so it was not fear or qualms with the line of work, I just didn't really know how to behave and treat her.
Of course I was polite, paid upfront, didn't haggle and was clean, so the basics were taken care of. I didn't really talk much and it felt like an appointment with my hairdresser, very professional but no emotions.
So my question is the following: would it be weird if I treat it more like a one night stand, an encounter where I not only enjoy myself but try to make her have a pleasant time as well? Can I flirt, make her genuine compliments, tell her she looks sexy etc.? I would've liked it much more treating her with compassion and human connection. Just wanted to know if this would be something that sex workers enjoy or if THAT is something that would make it even weirder.
