I need to get on an SSRI for physical and mental health problems. It’ll be for the long term, maybe the rest of my life, and I’ve accepted that but I’m seriously sad that I have to give up occasional MDMA. It’s not the same high while on an SSRI and could be dangerous. I do it once or twice a year at music festivals in healthy dosages. As we all know, there is nothing like it and I’m seriously going to miss the experience but my overall quality of life will probably be better being on an antidepressant for some health problems I have. It’s the mature decision but it breaks my heart.

I’m venting but I would be grateful for any positive words or outlooks as I give up this drug that has brought me such euphoric experiences. Thank you 🙏
