Granted, I'm currently consumed by grad school and work, but once or twice a week, I have some time to myself and I miss sharing that time with someone special. I miss having my person, and more than anything, I miss being someone else's person.

Who am I? I'm not a model, but I'm not too bad either. Let's add the tried and true "I'm 5'7" to filter out all the shallow Redditors. Also, I'm losing my hair so I shave it regularly (some autoimmune disease is the culprit). Okay? Alright? Good.

And to those who have remained, allow me to ADHD-stream-of-consciousness-style introduce a little about myself.

Now, I am a nerd first and foremost (and I am a charming kind of weird). I grew up playing Jrpgs on my PS1/2/3/4/5 (Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts mostly) and now I love all things D&D, fantasy, MCU, and a few other more niche things. Oh and anime too! My show and video game backlog requires a couch cuddling buddy to offload, I think. 😉

Music-wise, I am all over the place, but I am an elder emo at heart and love that genre the most. However, I also will unashamedly listen to some pop stuff (Ace of Base, Sneaker Pimps, K-Pop Demon Hunters, Chappelle Roan and Djo right now). I also had a hip hop and rap phase that lasted oh...(checks watch) about 30 years, and even gleefully went down the 1980s Japanese City Pop rabbit whole for a good while. I also have watched anime for decades so I love me some good anime intro music (there's some real bangers if you aren't aware). Much of the time however, I listen to videogame soundtracks since they help me work.

I don't currently have any pets, but I grew up with dogs (small to medium) and also grew to love birds, lizards and amphibians (leopard geckos and tree frogs 😍).

I'm in education and working on finishing my masters (1 year left) so there's that. 😅

I am sober, atheist and I want to start a family someday (I hope you're the same 😊). I also don't have any tattoos or piercings.

I'm Caucasian and Latino with hazel eyes, pale skin, type 3-c/4-a reddish brown hair (when it isn't shaved), usually sporting a short beard, glasses, and in average shape (though my version of average is a bit more muscular than others).

I have been an athlete my entire life, but I've been having a tough time getting back into a consistent routine. There has been decent progress lately. I've managed to get two 5k runs in a week for a month straight. My goal is four to five times a week and strength training peppered in there throughout.👍🏻

Anyway, you should know I have inattentive ADHD, but I am medicated. I also deal with chronic depression, but again, I'm medicated. Also, I go to therapy twice a month to manage and improve my mental health and growth. I promise I'm not unstable, just on a healing journey and managing C-PTSD (I do disassociate involuntarily sometimes however, but I'm working on it). My trauma is not my fault, but it is my responsibility so I take it seriously.

That said, I'm a loving, affectionate man who is very caring and considerate. I communicate and admit when I'm wrong and seek compromise when at an impasse. I'm not afraid to share my emotions, but only when there's trust and connection.

Though, I do look for relationships where equality and independence are nurtured. I think we should share all burdens, responsibilities and expectations. I don't conform to gender roles and don't want someone who does (not completely or artificially anyway). I want a relationship that is as close to 50/50 as possible with full expectations and acceptance for that ratio to skew when life gets in the way.

With that in mind, for anyone who earns my trust and has given me theirs, I will give grace when they're not at their best. I hope for the same.

Randomly transitioning to the next topic on my mind: good luck with my libido. It gets pretty high when I really like someone and physical touch is my most prominent giving love language. 😜

Aside from that, I hope to leave for Sweden or Switzerland in the next year or so, like permanently. Raising a child in the States is not something I want to do so I'm setting my sights on a more Left-leaning country (teaching English in Japan is also an option though not ideal).

Speaking of, I am a Leftist so if you're a Moderate or Conservative, we won't work. Hell, I barely get along with Democrats. If we're not talking Socialism, I don't think we're going to see eye-to-eye. Oh and feminism means equality and equity amongst all genders, sexes and identities and presentations. I hope we share that view.

That aside, I love writing and words in general (I respect the parenthetical). Once I'm done reading professionally or academically, I'm eager to read for fun again. The written word and deep thinking are things I value immensely (though, I also love turning my brain off and being dumb and silly together with someone I trust). After all, I became an English teacher just so I can help bring about more people who love a good turn of phrase or literary analysis. I want a new generation of Wordle players. Lol

Overall, I hope to find someone with similar beliefs, hobbies and interests, bedroom preferences, mutual attraction, family goals, and lifestyle choices.
